Sherman Smith is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on November 1, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio, United States. The next the following year Smith was able to teach and coach at Redmond Junior High School, and later in Redmond High School in the Washington state. Washington. Smith was appointed the head coach of the running back in Miami University, his alma college, in 1990. From 1992 to 1994 Smith was the tight end as well as head coach of the running backs at University of Illinois. Smith is the only Seahawk to rush over 100 yards in one game when he rushed for more than 124 yards in a game against Atlanta Falcons Atlanta Falcons on November 7 1976. Smith was the leader of his team’s rushing the first four seasons of his tenure and eventually racked up 28,429 yards and 3,429 touchdowns over his seven years playing for the team. Smith also was able to catch the ball more than 210 times, resulting in an average of 2,445 yards , and scored 10 scores. He played infrequently with his team the San Diego Chargers in the 1983 season.
He is a relative from an ex- NFL tight-end Mike Cobb, whose playing career at Michigan State overlapped with Smith’s at Miami. Both teams faced one during the season of 1975 in which Michigan State winning 14-13 which was Miami’s sole regular season loss of the year.
In 2008, Smith left the Titans to join the Washington Redskins as offensive coordinator, reuniting with his former Seahawks teammate, Jim Zorn, who had been named head coach of the Redskins.
