Roman Kostomarov is one of the most popular and richest Figure Skater who was born on February 8, 1977 in Moscow, Russia. Kostomarov called Navka in the middle of 2000 and asked if she would like to skate again. Alexander Zhulin, a New Jersey coach, coached them. Navka/Kostomarov was awarded the World title in 2004. They won three European titles between 2004 and 2006. The pair won gold at 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin (Italy). Navka/Kostomarov resigned from competition following the Olympics, but they continue to skate together.
Kostomarov started competing with Tatiana Navka in the 1998-1999 season. Natalia Linichuk was their coach. They won the bronze medal at Russian Championships. In their first season, they were sent to the World Championships. They placed 12th. Linichuk disbanded the team and paired Kostomarov and Anna Semenovich. He was a competitor with Semenovich in the 1999-2000 season.
Kostomarov started skating when he was nine years old. A coach introduced him to ice dancing when he was eleven years old. He was the 1996 World Juniors Champion with Ekaterina Daavydova.
Kostomarov married Austrian ladies’ champion Julia Lautowa in June 2004. Their relationship ended in divorce. In April 2014, he married Russian ice dancer Oksana Domnina. Their daughter, Anastasia, was born on 2 January 2011. Their son, Ilya, was born in January 2016.
